Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa state has on Saturday commenced the demolition of structures built or yet to build on the revocation plots allocated to people by the immediate past government of Sen Muhammad Umaru Jibrilla Bindo of the state.
The ongoing demolition our reporter observed is under the supervision of security Men with bulldozer clearing up all structures erected as corner buildings (shop) behind the state polytechnic (SPY) in Yola.
Our Reporter also observed that a one storey building is being smashed down with many labourers helping in the collapse of the building.
Lamenting on the decision of the Governor, an APC stalwart, Alhaji Ahmed Lawan said the Governor is being wicked and does not have the interest of Adamawa people.
“If not wickedness how can government allocated plot of land to people and because you assumed into the position of leadership demolished their wealth without any compensation?
” I think this is wickedness of the highest order, as we always say it PDP party is anti people, imaging how people invest their resources to help themselves earn a good livelihood but because of wickedness a government will truncate it.” Lawal said
Ibrahim Jada who said he own the one storey building under demotion which was built under the arrangement of built on transfer after 25 years to the state polytechnic who gave him the approved plan to building has spent over N22 million.
He called on the authority concern especially the ministry of land and survey and the school authority who gave them the go ahead to build to call the attention of the government.
Recall that the Governor Fintiri maiden inaugural speech said all lands unduly allocated to people by the past government shall be recovered back to real owners occupiers.
