Rt Gen. Danjuma arrives Jalingo

One of the most illustrous sons of Taraba state, the former minister of defence, Rt. Gen Theophilus Yakubu Danjuma touched down the soil of Jalingo yesterday through Jalingo Airport. It was a quiet visit with no trace of convoy by top government functionaries.

Danjuma, whom many believed is Gov Ishaku's godfather through his actions on the latter's emergence as Governor of Taraba state was received by two notable personalities in the state and accompanied to his residence near the presidential lodge Jalingo. Though as usual, security personnel beefed up the axis of his residence as at the time of filing this report.

As many speculations are emerging as to aim or mission of visit, Frontline news confirmed from the elder statesman's confidant who pleaded anonymity  that the ex-soldier  was in the state through the ease of the air route to Jalingo and to proceed to his country home, Takum by road where he's billed on his itinerary to supervise a project.
He said "Danjuma's visit to Jalingo has no political inclination, but only used the air route to shorten his journey to Takum where he will go supervise the ongoing structure project of the Jukun Bible Institute of Nigeria".

Frontline news exclusively gathered that Danjuma has been the financier and motivator of the Jukun Bible Institute, whose sole aim is to translate the Bible and other related Christian literatures to Jukun language, aside training sons and daughters of Jukun on how to read, write and translate English/Hausa Bible to Jukun dialect.
