Adamawa:
Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State has directed the immediate payment of N32,000 as the new minimum wage in the state.
Adamawa State head of civil service, Dr. Amos Edgar, made the disclosure to newsmen, saying no worker would be paid less than N32,000 in the state henceforth.
The Head of Service said, the governor has promised to pay civil servants a minimum wage of N32,000 during his gubernatorial campaign.
“We are now in consequential adjustment and we will commence payment by November”.
Fintiri has during his campaign tour to the labour union in the build up to the governorship election in 2019, promised civil servants payment of N32,000 if elected As Governor.
