Bauchi State Government has reaffirmed its commitment towards restoring the lost glory of traditional institution in the state.
Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed made the remark today when members of the State Council of Emirs visited him at Government House Bauchi.
Governor Bala Mohammed observed that, restoring the lost glory of traditional rulers will enable them join hands with his administration in overcoming the numerous challenges facing the state.
According to him, for his administration to meet the huge expectations of the citizens of the state, there was the need for members of the council to give him their maximum support.
Governor Bala Mohammed while expressing satisfaction with the support of traditional rulers to his administration, appealed to them to be faithful and justice to their subjects to ensure the maintenance of peace and security.
The Emir of Bauchi, Alhaji Rilwanu Suleimanu Adamu who is the Chaiman of the Council, said the visit is to congratulate the governor on his victory at the supreme court and to reaffirm their support to his administration.
The Emir of Bauchi assured Governor Bala Mohammed that members of the council and indeed the entire traditional rulers in the state will never sabotage, betray or fail him while discharging this challenging responsibility.
