Ikenya Debunked Defection News, It's Fake News.

A former minister and one time Senator of the Federa Republic of Nigeria, Hon. Joel Ikenya strongly debunked and condemned the recent publication of his reported defection to APC. The Senator wondered why peddlers of fake news are so desperate to smear his name in the public space.

According to a source close to the Senator, the Senator had never discussed defection plans from his current party to APC with any third party, neither had he declared publicly. "I have no plans to defect to APC in anyway and I remain with the PDP and in support of Gov Darius administration to build a great future for Taraba". Ikenya said.

In the recent fake news publication, the unknown publisher alleged that, the  former minister expressed his satisfaction over the achievements of the APC agent, President Mohammadu Buhari. The publisher further alleged that the minister openly declared his defection to APC amidst reactions in the state.

However, the minister has outrightly debunked and further condemned the fake news publication. He also called on the good people of Taraba and the general public to disregard the publication as he never defected to any APC or other political parties.
Recalled that Senator Ikenya is from South Taraba, where the Governor of the state is from. He is a great political engineer, who knows how to tie and untie political bolts and replace them with new ones.
