Covid19;Governor Ishaku Pardons Inmates.

Justice Filibus B. Andetur Taraba state chief Judge discharged and acquitted nineteen inmates at the Jalingo medium security correctional center, which was ordered during his visit.

The state chief Judge while speaking said, his visit was as a directive from Governor Darius Ishaku to decongest the prisons as another strategy to curb the spread of Covid-19.

He added that, the released inmates was based on their available records, and others were as well recommended to the Governor to be considered for same purpose.

Responding, the state Controller of the Correctional Service Jalingo, Stephen Bulus Gannon thanked God and appreciated the Governor for such gesture, adding that it's timely as it'll go a long to relief some of their stress experience at the centers.

The state chief Judge was accompanied on the visit by other Judges and Magistrates.
