HON. DR. AHMAD DAWUD JEDUA MARKS ONE YEAR IN OFFICE.
The honourable member representing the good people of Gembu Constituency in Taraba State House of Assembly Hon. Dr. Ahmad Dawud Jedua celebrates his one year anniversary full of countless achievements.
The sweet taste of power could make a leader lose count of time and the reality that every second missed will be lost out in fulfilling his or her campaign promises to the people.
Often times people elected into offices for the first time end up using the whole year if not two doing or archiving nothing in the name of trying to stabilize.
Today we celebrate a leader, a man who has proven to be well-grounded in the art of governance, one who is fierce enough to break all the barriers in bringing development to his people.
In his quest for excellent Dr. Ahmad Dawud Jedua dared to do things that many felt were impossible, he is never deterred, never relenting and ever ready to go the extra mile in getting things done for his people even with the numerous challenges faced.
As he celebrates his one year in office, we shall attempt to mention in brief some achievements recorded by the go-getter within his first 365 days in office as a state legislator.
EMPLOYMENT
Dr. Jedua has lobbied and secured employment for a number of people as below.
✓ Four (4) people employed with the Taraba state house of assembly.
✓Two (2) with the primary healthcare development agency
✓Three (3) with the Nigeria Police Force NPF.
✓One (1) with the Federal Ministry of science and technology.
✓Two (2) with the Health Tech Takum.
Note:
More than twice the total number of people above are waiting to receive their appointment letters at the end of this lockdown to add to the list.
INFRASTRUCTURAL DEVELOPMENT.
✓ Lobbied for and ensured the grading of the road from Nguroje to Mayondaga
✓ Renovation of Yurum primary school.
✓ construction of one canoe each in Nyongor, Mbu, Ngeah and Nvua.
✓ Construction of a Ferry at Ngeah/Warwar crossing point.
✓ Assisted Churches and Mosques projects in Kaniyaka, Mayondaga, Kuma, Titong, Ngubin, Ngeah and Yambam.
HEALTH
✓Dr. Jedua personally admitted and treated more than a dozen patients from Sardauna local government area for free in his facility (Hospital) since his election and subsequent swearing-in as a member Taraba State House of Assembly.
While other cases he couldn't handle, he gave out cash assistance to facilitate their treatment in other places.
✓ In the face of the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr. Jedua procured and distributed Hand sanitizers, buckets, tables and liquid detergents to help curb the spread of the disease in his constituency.
EDUCATION
As a beneficiary of the educational system, Dr. Jedua in his little way has done a lot in imparting on the students, especially during these difficult times.
✓ Registered WAEC for over twenty vulnerable students in 2019.
✓ registered JAMB For over twenty students in 2020.
✓ helped in securing admission for his people in Health Tech Takum, school of nursing Jalingo and other institutions.
✓ Provided free transportation to over 100 students from Jalingo to Gembu during the outbreak of the COVID-19.
This is to list but a few among all his achievements.
Dr. Jedua has proven to be relentless in his quest and will go all the way for his people before his tenure elapses in 2023.
