Taraba elections: INTER-PARTY ADVISORY COUNCIL PASSED VOTE OF CONFIDENCE ON TSIEC.

The Taraba state chapter of the Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC) has passed a vote of confidence on the Dr Philip Duwe led leadership of the Taraba State Independent Electoral Commission (TSIEC).

The leadership of IPAC held its briefing yesterday at the Young Democratic Party Secretariat Jalingo, and frontline news gathered that the chairman Alh. Abubakar Sa'adu Hassan said as the umbrella of all registered political parties in Nigeria, the state chapter is ready to participate in the forthcoming local government polls in the state.

Alh. Sa'adu said they are also set to see to it that the elections which is slated for June 30th 2020, are conducted in a free, fair and credible manner.

He also urged Tarabans to turn out and exercise their civic responsibilities, as well as observing precautionary measures of the novel covid-19 pandemic.

Frontline news correspondent also interviewed the secretary of the council Mr Henry, who  thanked the leadership of Governor Darius for organizing the polls, and TSIEC for providing a leveling ground for all political parties to participate.

He lastly urged TSIEC to do justice at the end of the exercise and called on electorates to do away with thuggery.
