Nigerian Insecurities: "Suspected Assassins murdered a 67 year old man in Taraba State."
A 67-year-old man was allegedly slaughtered using deadly weapons by unidentified persons at his residence in Garin Jatau village, Ardokola Local Government in Taraba state.
The need for speedy implementation of community policing policy of the Federal Government can't be undermined especially now that security of lives and property can't be guaranteed by the current security architecture across Nigeria due to incessant killings of Nigerian citizens by unknown gunmen both in cities and villages.
According to the credible sources within the village and community where the ugly accident occurred, the incident took place at the deceased, Jibir Nyashu's resident at Aunguwan Dong, in Garin Jatau village around 3am when dogs were barking so seriously but it never came to the villagers' minds that, there was negativity at the nose within their neighborhood.
In the morning around after 7am, a woman who was identified to be Mr. Jibir Nyashu's sister came to check on him since he just returned from their home town (Sagwe Dekko) and found him dead inside his own room on Thursday morning which happened to be 13th August, 2020.
According to the sister, Jibir Nyashu have divorced his wife Vigane Jibir years ago and now stays with the children and the children are between the ages of 7 and 15.
On arriving the deceased residence, she noticed something unusual as she called him severally and he was not responding ,
The senior daughter responded that daddy might have gone to farm but she wasn't convinced because the door was unlocked as usual and she decided to check into the deceased's room,
where she found her brother Jibir Nyashu on bed but the way he lay was so unusual, she shouted his name and their was no response, she touched him but he didn't move and she couldn't noticed it because the room was dark,
she noticed that, he was breathless and she decided to lift up the door curtain in order to be sure of his state of health but unfortunately, she found Jibir Nyashu slaughtered and left in the pool of his blood in the room by the Assassins.
She began to scream and cry aloud to attract the villagers' attention and sympathy.
Burial arrangements was conducted and before the burial will take place their was no information from the police as at 14th August, 2020.
During the burial service of the deceased according to the Christian Faith at, UMCN Garin Jatau Gunduma Iware,
We learnt that, the Police Inspector in charge of Garin Jatau village Security Outpost was in attendance
The pastor in charge charged security operatives to do the needful and bring the perpetrators to book to serve as deterrent to the potential assassins in vulnerable areas or communities in Taraba State and Nigeria at large.
