TY Danjuma Foundation Carry Out Free Glaucoma Screening In Takum.
In its effort to eradicate glaucoma from some Taraba community, the TY Danjuma Foundation has carried out three days of eye screening for Glaucoma.
The free glaucoma screening and other eye services took place at the Rufkatu Danjuma memorial Maternity hospital Takum.
Speaking on the development the Acting chief Executive officer of TY Danjuma Foundation Gima Forje described glaucoma as a silent killer disease and that if early detected it will be addressed.
He said after the screening exercise those with glaucoma will be referred back to TY Danjuma Foundation facilities on a later date to be announced for treatment.
Gima said the Foundation has been up and doing with various Programmes that improve the living condition of the people.
Speaking on behalf of the board of the Foundation Dr. Dauda Danasabe said the founder, General TY Danjuma retired is so passionate about the community that was why he put together the exercise.
He noted that the General has the interest of the less privileged people at heart and that he has been doing a lot to salvage them.
Some beneficiary of the exercise could not hide their feelings but shower prayers for General T.Y Danjuma retired.
