TYPA HELD QUARTERLY MEETING , ADVOCATES FOR IMPROVED BUDGETING OF WATER SECTOR .

Youth Progressive Association in Taraba with finding from effective water , Sanitation and Hygiene (E WASH ) Programme has held it's quarterly meeting in jalingo .
The meeting was aimed at discussing issues of how to improve water supply in jalingo and zing local government area. .
Speaking at the occasion chief Executive officer of TYPA Mr Boniface Koson said the meeting is aimed at reviewing the activities of water supply and sanitation across the state.
He said they usually hold the meeting with relevant ministries and stakeholders in the water Sanitation and Hygiene inorder to achieve effective sanitation .
Boniface Koson explained that the water Sanitation and Hygiene covers three thematics areas such as making qualitative, affordable and accessable and to ensure that all necessary equipment for the sanitation is provided .
The monitor and evaluation officer of TYPA Edward Ioron said the organization in it's bid to achieved effective water Hygiene and sanitation held meeting with stakeholders and various women groups .
He said TYPA has been advocating for increase in the budget of the water sector to make the commodity accessable to all across the country saying lack of funding has stop many people from getting water .
He identify lack of adequate power supply as among challenges militating against accessing water supply and Hygiene and that TYPA has assisted some communities to access economic transformation.
He added that TYPA
has been up and doing in ensuring that people get portable water and that relevant water sector dispense it appropriately
