Gov Fintiri flagged off rehabilitation and upgrading of eight small towns water supply scheme...

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has officially flagged off rehabilitation and upgrading of eight small towns water supply scheme in the seven local government areas affected by insurgency in Adamawa.

The programme which is sponsored by the Adamawa State Coordination Unit of the North East Muti-sectoral Crisis Recovery Project MCRP, held at the premises of water board Garkida in Gombi local government on Friday.

Speaking during the ceremony, Governor Umaru Fintiri declared that the choice of the seven local governments for the program by the federal government in partnership with the world bank is timely as water supply is essential to livelihood.

He added that the scheme will go along way in improving the livelihood of people through improved quality water supply and public health and assured that the present administration will support the development for the overall interest of Adamawa people.
