Gov Darius and his deputy are doing exceedingly well~ Taraba State House of Assembly

The Taraba State House of Assembly today demonstrated it legislative function by passing vote of confidence on the Executive Governor of the state, Arch. Darius Dickson Ishaku and his Deputy Engr. Manu Haruna. At the plenary sitting earlier today, the Speaker, Dr Joseph Albasu Kunini and the entire House considered a motion moved by the Deputy Speaker, Hon Hamma Adama Abdullahi and supported by the majority of the members, on the allegations that, the Governor has been absence from the state for long. He observed with facts finding questions on whether or not administrative activities are going on in the state.



The House took the decision on grounds  that, the Governor and his Deputy have performed credibly well in the administration of the state. This followed allegations that, the Governor  should transmit power to his Deputy because of his absence from the state. In a swift response, the Speaker, Dr Joseph Albasu Kunini carefully asked Honourable Members on whether salaries were paid or not, or whether the state needs were not met. On the issue of Governor Ishaku's health, the Speaker said there is no any medical report that declared the Governor as incapacitated following the provisions of the law.



After a thorough assessment and deliberation. The Speaker declared a vote of confidence on Governor Ishaku and seconded by the entire house. At the end of the sitting, it was observed that those making calls on media about the Governor's visit to Abuja are those bent at creating distraction, who don't want anything good about the state.
