RE: GOVERNOR DARIUS HAS NO RESPECT FOR THE JUKUN TRADITIONAL INSTITUTION:

It has become necessary for the palace of Aku Uka to make a statement on a recent post by one Angyu Madiba Angyu, saying among other things that Governor Darius has no respect for the Jukun traditional institution. He also wrote  with reference to Governor Darius that “ is he bigger than the office of Aku Uka, Ukwe Takum or Gara Donga?”

As the highest Traditional Authority of Jukun Nation, we deem it expedient to call on all Jukun sons and daughters both at home and in diaspora to remain resolute at this material time  in which our unity is needed most. As a people, we must only promote those things that tend to unite us and discard anything that will divide us.

We therefore call on all and sundry to
disregard the said write up which is the figment of imagination of the writer as the relationship between His Excellency the Executive Governor of Taraba State, Arc. Darius Dickson Ishaku and Traditional rulers in the areas mentioned and by extension the entire state have been cordial and remains so, and if anything is waxing stronger  by the day.

Traditional institutions are by nature supportive of the administration in many ways and we cherish the role we play in the stability and development of Taraba State. It is unfortunate that some ignorant minds will conceive such debased idea and dare to bring it to public domain in such disrespectful manner.

The person of his Excellency, the Governor is too sacred for anyone at all to peddle on social media in the manner. On behalf of our traditional Rulers, we wish to dissociate ourselves from this ideologies  in its totality.

We wish to state again that the loyalty of traditional rulers to the administration of Governor Darius Dickson Ishaku is unshaken and our personal relationship with him is at its best.

I call on every Taraban, irrespective of ethnic extraction to support Governor Darius Ishaku in his effort to build Taraba State to an enviable heights.

Thank you.

Signed:
