JDAN: The Truth Behind the Facade.

The Jukun Development Association of Nigeria (JDAN) passes itself as a  socio-cultural, educational, economic, youths and women development association representative of the interests and speaking on behalf of the entire Jukun nation all over the world. But does JDAN have such a mandate?

The truth about JDAN is that it is a diaspora organization that has lost touch with facts and realities of the true Jukun struggles. The promoters of JDAN, wearing their supremist garbs sadly believe that they can sit in their comfort zones and decide for majority locals who are on ground and are better informed about the real happenings in the land.

For the avoidance of doubt, the Deputy Governor of Taraba State Engr. Haruna Manu was received in Wukari and Ibi yesterday 13th April, 2020 by a mammoth crowd from all the Local Government Areas in Southern Taraba.

The masses of Taraba State have serially passed votes of confidence on Governor Darius Dickson Ishaku countless times. They overwhelmingly voted for DDI twice and still stand to defend their votes.

Jukun sons and daughters who are truly on ground know that about 200 blocks of  classrooms were renovated and furnished in Southern Taraba alone, about 380 hand pumped- boreholes were drilled and installed, Tsokundi, Pantisawa Yorro,  Mararaba-Baissa- Abong roads, and the dualization of Jalingo with Fly Over roads are all in progress, to mention a few.

Needless to say that the Taraba State House of Assembly which is the constitutionally recognized representative of the people in the grassroots has passed a vote of confidence on Governor Darius Dickson Ishaku.

Peace and Reconciliation meetings were held 13  times in Wukari, Makurdi, Akwanga, Abuja and Jalingo. Zando Hoku, President of Jukun Youths and Cultural Development Association attended, participated and contributed in all the meetings which were held  towards achieving  sustainable Peace between Jukun/Tiv.

The discerning mind will not find it difficult to see where the grouse is: The late Suntai shared money to them, while DDI is utilizing the meagre resources in the midst of recession to build infrastructure and provide basic amenities to  the poor Tarabans. It is not business as usual.

The Supreme Headquarters of the Jukun People is Wukari not Abuja or Lagos.

DDI is the Governor for Tarabans not only for the Jukun People. We salute his act of Justice, Fairness, Equity and Democracy in Governing the complex Taraba State and daily inscribing his name in the sands of time as a fearless and courageous leader.

Abuja based and Diaspora Politicians believe in Money sharing (ARABA) should take a chill pill and watch DDI transform the state to a place where our children will gladly call home.

The message is clear: My brother Benjamin Bako speaks for APC Southern Taraba, most of whom are disaffected failed politicians who contested elections in 2015 and 2019 and woefully lost. What he says should not be misunderstood to mean the voice of the Jukun People.

I hope from now an ostrich will not be confused with a giraffe.
