Executive Order 10, Gov Bala Muhammad gets set
Governor Bala Muhammad of Bauchi state has inaugurated a committee for the implementation of the executive order number ten recently signed by president Muhammad Buhari.
The Committee to be headed by the secretary to the state government Muhammad Sabi'u Baba is to provide a framework for the smooth granting of financial autonomy to the state assembly and judiciary.
Inaugurating the Committee in government house, Governor Bala asked them to look at the implications of the autonomy and recommend the best way of implementation.
The Governor explained that although the president has suspended the implementation for the meantime, howevuer, there is need to prepare to avoid emergency approach.
According to him, independence of judicial and legislative arms will reduce burden to his administration adding that the move was to ensure the autonomy does not subjects the two arms into problems.
The Governor therefore charged the Committee to deepen deliberations with a view to proper recommendations.
